2018 has been a big year for Missouri rockers, Paralandra, as they announced signing to Legend Recordings and going back into the studio. Starting off June with a bang, the band is excited to release their highly anticipated EP “Ascension” (engineered/produced by Nick Sampson (Asking Alexandria, Born Of Osiris). The follow up to their Billboard-charting (#1 Heatseekers) record, “Ascension,” will hook you in from the first note. Vocalist Casandra Carson’s tremendous pipes mixed with the guitar-driven rock will have you turning up the volume and singing along.
Often compared to top-notch female fronted bands, Halestorm and Evanscense, Paralandra strives to make a name for themselves and is on their way to joining the ranks of these infamous acts. Taking inspiration from greats like Foo Fighters, Paramore, and Red Hot Chili Peppers to name a few, while putting their own spin on the infectious pop-rock. Paralandra is extremely proud of the hard work that went into the record as Carson shared, “This is the most authentic Paralandra recording yet! These songs are the best representations fo the raw emotions myself, Paul and Nick were feeling while writing together in the studio. Nick Sampson truly captured the sound and energy of what you see live and we couldn’t be more excited to release this to our fans.”
Paralandra has solidified a name for themselves for their energetic live show and is currently on their Spring 2018 tour in support of the new record which included an appearance at Rocklahoma sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in rock. You can catch the band on their remaining dates and Paralandra looks forward to announcing more dates in 2018.
“Ascension” is available now on all digital platforms with physical merch at the official Legend Recordings online store.
